Mission Statement

The Hinckley Methodist Circuit enables, nurtures and inspires the making and growing of disciples of Jesus Christ.

 

AIMS

 

·      To offer a variety of worship styles and times of worship, for example traditional, for people on the fringe of the church, young people, informative and contemplative.

·      To enable the training of Local Preachers, Worship Leaders and to nurture Church Mission Leadership Teams and to provide training courses and annual resourcing days.

·      To provide administrative support for the circuit churches and staff.

·      To ensure that buildings throughout the circuit are welcoming and user friendly.

·      To encourage churches to be environmentally aware with regular agenda items at circuit meeting and church councils and to provide expertise.

·      To encourage prayer life within the circuit, offering different models of prayer.

·      To encourage churches to explore and use appropriate models of mission.

·      To encourage and resource groups across the circuit for learning and personal growth, challenging churches to explore God’s call and to reflect on what following Christ means.

·      To inspire confidence in sharing a personal faith in Jesus Christ.

·      To support and enable the local churches to provide pastoral care.

·      To provide and ensure good practice which encourages churches to be open and hospitable to people of different backgrounds and to be willing to engage in dialogue with everyone.

·      To encourage churches to be good neighbours in the community.

·      To encourage awareness and action on  matters of justice.
